Terms and conditions of processing of personal information

1. The Sanlam Group (“Sanlam Group”) will be providing funding to small, medium, and micro enterprises (“SMMEs”) that have received purchase orders from SANParks and any SMMEs interested in applying (“You/User”) will be required to register and complete an online application on the Sanlam Group’s electronic platform (“the Platform”).

2. During the completion of the application process, Users will be required to provide certain information, which may include personal information (as such term is defined in the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (“POPIA”)). Your personal information may include the personal information of your key individuals, representatives and/or assistants, and clients, where applicable.

3. You freely and voluntarily consent to the processing of your personal information by the Sanlam Group for purposes of the application process.

4. You understand that the Sanlam Group shall process and store your personal information in accordance with its privacy notice that can be found here and POPIA.

5. You understand that the Sanlam Group shall use your personal information only for the purposes of the application process and for compatible purposes. You understand that the Sanlam Group shall not share your personal information with third parties except to the extent permitted by law to do so.

6. You acknowledge that the Sanlam Group may share your personal information with entities within the Sanlam Group, service providers (including data hosting provider) and agents, some of which may be located outside of the Republic of South Africa.

7. Any queries or complaints regarding the processing of your personal information may be sent to informationofficer@sanlam.co.za.

8. Users who access the Platform do so on their own will and initiative and are therefore responsible for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. By accessing the Platform, You agree that You have read, understood and agree to these terms and conditions of processing your personal information and any terms that form part of the Platform and this website.

9. The Sanlam Group reserves the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time.
